A fenced-in community dog park on Orange Street in downtown Welaka, open from sunrise to sunset (no lights for nighttime use). Two separate play areas are divided by an interior fence: one for confident dogs and one for shy dogs, so every visitor can settle in at their own pace.
The park is sizeable, well-kept, and stocked with the basics: faucet water for filling bowls, dog poop bags and a shovel for cleanup, trash cans, benches for people to sit while the dogs run, and nearby restrooms.
Locally-owned dogs and visiting travelers are welcome. Bring water, a leash for the walk in and out, and give the dogs a chance to burn off the road trip.
