Frequently asked questions

Are there riverfront cabins to rent in Welaka, Florida?
Yes. Low Tide Welaka, Stillwater Welaka, Moonlite Hideaway, and Welaka Lodge & Resort all offer riverfront cabin-style rentals. Andersen's Lodge in Welaka and Bass World Lodge in Crescent City have cottage rentals on the water as well.
What's the difference between Welaka Lodge & Resort and Andersen's Lodge?
Welaka Lodge & Resort is a full resort with riverfront cottages, RV sites, a pool, the Boat Bar on-site, and event space. Andersen's Lodge is smaller and more rustic — a classic Old Florida fishing lodge with cottages and a bar and grill.
Can I bring my RV to Welaka?
Yes. Cherry Blossom RV Resort, Port Cove RV Resort & Marina, and Trailboss RV & Marina all welcome RVs. Welaka Lodge & Resort also has RV sites alongside its riverfront cottages.
Are dogs allowed at Welaka lodging properties?
Most lodges and rentals are dog-friendly, but policies vary per property. Call ahead. Many of the cabins and fish camps along the river are owner-operated and accommodate well-behaved leashed dogs.
How far is Welaka from St. Augustine?
Welaka is about 41 miles from St. Augustine. The drive is around 55 minutes via Route 207 west. That makes Welaka one of the easier weekend escapes from St. Augustine.
